Kent County Commission: The Kent County Board of Commissioners is the chief legislative and policy-making body of Kent County Government. Each standing committee welcomes residents to address concerns or issues involving County government during the beginning of the meeting agenda called "Public Comment." Speakers are requested to state their names and addresses, with individual comments being limited to the time limits established by the Board Chair, usually three minutes.
Grand Rapids City Commission: The City Commission represents the people of Grand Rapids. Voters elect their representatives. Grand Rapids has three wards, and each ward elects two City Commissioners.The Mayor is elected by all Grand Rapids voters. The City Commission meets on Tuesdays, usually every other week.
